“Constant Guidance and Encouragement”

I can’t begin to express my gratitude for all of the help Mr. Trevino has provided to both of my sons. His constant guidance and encouragement has been amazing. His unique experience, vast expertise, and ability to connect with students make him an irreplaceable asset.

— Kim Nopper, Lovejoy H.S. Parent

Mr. Trevino assisted me not only in college applications, but also in convincing me that I could attend a college like Rice University. While other students received mentorship from teachers and coaches, the only person that offered me insight into my academic future was Mr. Trevino. He is a wonderful resource.
— Jolen Martinez, Lovejoy Class of 2017
Randy Trevino has the pulse on what high school students (and their parents) need to know about planning their high school and post-high school days. His educational background and unique professional experience gives him a keen insight into the various roadmaps available to students in grades 9-12 and beyond. His calm, easy-going personality makes every student and parent feel comfortable and understood during a time that typically can be very stressful and challenging.

Well-placed Dawgs

While on a visit to the University of Georgia at Athens, Randy bumped into a few Lovejoy H.S. graduates while taking a stroll through campus. It’s always a treat to see former students on their collegiate journey.

Mr. Trevino is an essential part of students transitioning to college smoothly! Also, he makes connections with the students that last for longer than just while at the high school. Almost every time I come home, I ask my mom if she wants to go visit Mr. Trevino with me just to let him know how I’m doing and say hello because he is such a positive influence and just a positive person in general to be around because he truly cares... which is hard to find these days.
— Samantha Odom, Lovejoy Class of 2015
About this time 5 years ago my son met with Mr. Trevino and discussed his wants/needs for a college and my son’s opinion on the 20 other schools he had already visited but didn’t love. After processing all that info, Randy said, “you are missing UGA” ....he went, fell in love with it and last weekend my son graduated from Georgia after four amazing years. That match would not have happened without the guidance from Mr. Trevino. He provided the same support to my younger son and tons of other students. He makes the effort to be approachable to the students and his knowledge of the college acceptance process is irreplaceable.
— Sue Smith, Lovejoy H.S. Parent
Mr. Trevino has been an excellent college counselor. He helped prepare me for scholarship and medical school interviews and wrote me strong letters of recommendation. His services as counselor are highly valued by me as well as countless other our community.
