About Randy Trevino

The Knowledgeable and Experienced College Admissions Professional

Randy has 20 years of college admissions, college counseling, and corporate relationship/client management experience.  Having worked at Southern Methodist University as a Senior Admission Counselor for 4.5 years, he recruited first-year (freshmen) and transfer students.  His admissions insider experience has helped him advise prospective college students about the nuances of the college admission process and best help them with their post-high school plans. Randy also served as the Director of College & Career Counseling at Lovejoy High School, a premiere Texas public high school in Collin County, for six years (2013-2019).  While there, he worked with hundreds of students and parents to plan, coordinate, and oversee the college application/selection process from an informed and empowered standpoint. The invaluable experience gained while visiting over 80 colleges/universities and developing relationships with key admissions personnel across the country has unequivocally helped his students navigate the trickiest aspects of the college admission process. Randy knows what questions are being asked when decisions are being made, so trust his experience, attention to detail, and subject-matter expertise to navigate the fast-paced and evolving world of college admissions!

Randy lives in Allen, Texas with his wife, Monica, and his two young sons, Ross and Roman.  He loves to spend time playing outside with his boys, watching college and NFL football, eating Tex-Mex and Italian food, listening to Sports Radio 1310 “The Ticket,” and watching comedy shows.  Randy is also an adjunct US History instructor at Dallas College — Richland Campus in Dallas, and he loves to read historical novels that discuss the unique American experience.
